Pinchos in Pamplona

Pamplona
If last nights lodging was a Spanish galleon, tonight is the uss enterprise! check out the website, very high tech! http://www.casaibarrola.com

Got my bunk for €15 did laundry, showered and hit the town. I toured the cathedral of Santa Maria http://www.catedraldepamplona.com

I did a Clark Griswold (Ntl Lampoon Vacation) tour of Plaza de Toros and Plaza Del Castillo. I slowed down for an amazing Pinchos (small plate) lunch. I had four plates: White anchovy, ham with what I assumed was quail egg and roasted red pepper, smoked salmon, and my absolute favorite pulpo (octopus) with potato. I was also proud that I ordered entirely in Spanish and sign language! I would return to Pamplona just for the Pinchos! I went to a mass in Spanish today in was a very nice way to reflect on the day. I’m currently back at the mothership for a little rest and application of aspirin, tiger balm, and foot gel. I’ll venture out for a glass of wine and a snack later.

  1. Thanks for the pictures and great descriptions. I’m busy planning my Clintonville residency for when Mona & Eunice leave. Lookin’ good, you can do it, you got this!

  2. I’m jealous! (except for the food) It looks beautiful there. I don’t leave until Tuesday 6/30, and I can’t wait. We’ll have to have dinner again and swap stories.
