The first day on the Camino Frances is also considered the toughest, with almost a mile of elevation across 16 miles. There is one refuge about a third of the way up, and I was able to get a bunk! After a week of failed email attempts I heard back from Orission. Here’s the trick – email them directly, dont use the form on the website. I think this will be a great way to start the Camino!
