Sarria>Portomarin
5:30am and pilgrims are up and about. I got a good nights sleep and I think everyone is ready for the trail. Today is a direct 13 mike route to Portomarin with a steep downhill over the last 3 miles. Our hotel has breakfast at 6:00, we’re very fortunate because everything was closed last night. No supermarcato, no yogurt or sardines. I wonder if my fellow pilgrims will adopt my breakfast routine?
Breakfast ended up being an amazing buffet for €5 with an awesome selection of tasty food, I was completely ok missing sardines this morning.
Wonderful views and a lot more traffic on the trail. I saw more people in the first 15 minutes than I did the entire day earlier in the trip. The Camino dropped to double digits today I snapped a photo of the 99k trail marker!
Resting in an albergue bunk bed after a shower, feeling relaxed. We will be venturing out for food, provisions and adventure later!

Hope you are enjoying your company. Had a great night at hotel Clintonville and the girls. I asked Eunice before she left if she would eat sardines and she said yes, so I guess that theory hasn’t been tested yet.
Did Eunice eat that Octopus???
Hope all is going well with you four pilgrims. I am back from white water rafting. We hit big water and Ed’s daughter-in-law went in Surprise Rapid. She was somewhat frightened. I have a battered left knee from being thrown wildly into the raft with my left leg/knee stuck under the seat before. All is well now. You all take care.
The cemetary reminds of the cemetary in Alvito. Love the blog, love the pics, love you guys 🙂
Did Eunice eat that Octopus??
Yes! And liked it!
Beautiful pictures. Are you ready for some home cooking? 🙂
Yes! Only one day to Santiago! Looking forward to rest and home!
