And the winner is….
The Camino contest winner is ….. Fred Fitzer! Congratulations father you’ve won! Hmm… This may sound a little shady…. You’ll receive your prize when your picking us up from the airport. Again, sounds shady but Mona tabulated the results. Marsha Watkins was in a close second, you will also be receiving a prize!
We had a wonderful relaxing day today. We went for a walk and visited an awesome market and watched the hazy clouds burn off revealing a beautiful blue ocean. We divided and conquered, I opted for hammock time at the resort and Mona continued along the beach where she hopped into a public yoga class. She snapped the epic features photo before she jumped in. We met at the spa at 5:00. I had a punishing Thai massage and she had an equally punishing manicure / pedicure.
Mona found the perfect mom and pop restaurant for dinner. Complete with hand lettered sign and plastic table cloths. No English here, so ordering was rough. I communicated chicken, clams and calamari with my best (terrible) Spanish. The cook / waitress confirmed our chicken (polo) order with the universal arm wave and about one minute of rapid fire Spanish we didn’t understand. We answered with muy bien and a smile. We had fried calamari, roasted razor clams, and a perfectly grilled spatchcocked chicken served with butter lettuce, raw onion, tomato and course salt. It was the best meal I’ve had on this adventure. It was a great day!

Happy 15 years – you 2 are awesome!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!
I have so enjoyed your pics and the minute videos!!! I think it is amazing that you’ve accomplished this……
The pics of you two are great!
Mona, you are just beautiful!!!!
P.S. The massage sounds wonderful!!!
Thanks for all of the posts! I’m so glad you enjoyed seeing them!
Keep in mind that I am not “tech savvy” at all :)….isn’t there an app that you can speak what you wish to communicate that will translate into any given language?
They exist but but require an internet connection. I have an offline translator but it’s slow to type and pass the phone. Being good at charades is a definite bonus here!
Happy Anniversary to you…. Happy Anniversary to you… !!! (We will grace you with our singing on your return. )
Thanks! We had a fun day back in Santiago, we leave for Madrid tonight!
