Triacastla>Sarria
The Camino redefines how you spend a Saturday night. I was off the trail early and had an evening in. I was delighted to find a big pair of toenail clipper at the grocery. I can’t stand those tiny ones. I added this to my basket of goodies and headed back to the pension. My room was 10’x12′ and just the basics. Single bed where I could almost lay flat if diagonally oriented, a tiny dresser, an equally small chair and a wardrobe made of wood usually reserved for disposable fruit crates. No pictures on the walls. Shared bathroom down the hall. I also got a chip of soap and a bath towel. That’s just fine for €25. I was tempted to go down to the “nightclub” two doors down. Apparently a nightclub is defined by a bar with the addition of a disco light and some sort of sound system. I opted for a quiet night in and I munched on corn nuts and drank beer with seltzer water. Light light light beer. I watched Fury on my iPhone, trimmed my toenails and watched my laundry dry. It was a wonderful way to spend an evening. The nightclub was just opening as I went to bed. Fortunately I couldn’t hear a peep from my room. I got a good nights sleep.
The nightclub was still going when I left around 6:15 ( I have video on Camino minute 7!) Today was overcast and made a nice backdrop for the pastures and dairy farms I passed. Lots of cows today. I kept a slow pace and enjoyed the walk. I talked with a few pilgrims and stopped for tortilla and café con leche mid morning. Arrived in Sarria early, and currently blogging at the hotel cafe eagerly waiting for Mona, Eunice and Concetta to arrive!

Hello, glad you had an easier walk to Sarria. Have a great time with the crew. At the moment I’m at my mom and dad’s celebrating my mom’s 82nd birthday.I’ll be moving into Clintonville later today to love on the furballs. Hugs to E, M, C and you!
