We’re visiting Mary in Arizona. The air quality makes running outside a little rough so we visited the club at Mary’s apartment. I went 4 miles on the treadmill, I like the trail alot more.
Very Amazing Vegy Thanksgiving Sandwich
Very Amazing Vegy Thanksgiving Sandwich
Starting from the base and working up
Crusty bread lightly toasted
Thin strip Japanese “kewpi” mayo
2 onions caramelized with olive oil, salt, and freshly ground pepper
Vegy burger pan fried in remnants of caramelized onions
¼ inch sliced of tomato
3/8 inch slice of canned gelled cranberry sauce
Bulgarian feta
Stack ingredients on a wire rack in prescribed order. Broil (about 10 inches from heat source) until bread browns on edges and feta shows the first sign of melting. Serve with a Riesling or Pinot Noir and enjoy!

9.7 miles – Ready for the 1/2!
still no power
We’ve been without power for the past 5 days. It’s an inconvenience but we have hot water and I’m able to charge batteries at work. Mona is having a rough time w/out a hair dryer.
Ran for 1 hour today, felt great. It was cool and the trail is almost clear of debris. I looped up to north broadway and back down across the lane avenue bridge and back up ackerman. I went up to como to finish out the hour.
Yesturday I ran 5k on the trail and almost twisted my foot on a rock. It’s very dark in the tree covered areas. Today I took my headlamp.
Impromptu dinner
No electric and everything in the fridge is long gone. Went pantry diving to make a small dinner. Ended up with a boil a bag of white rice, a can of diced water chestnuts, an onion, and TVP chunks. Actually it made a great low cal stir fry. I pre soaked the TVP in water and steak seasoning, and stir fried with olive oil salt and pepper.
7.7 miles 1:27.45
Hot long run today. Clintonville to Worthington. I carried a water belt, its more comfortable than I remeber. I was drinking 3oz every 15 minutes. I walked about 3/7 of a mile towards the end.
Celebration breakfast at TJ’s (waffle, 2 eggs, bacon and decaf)
My pace ended up at 11.23
I’m looking forward to the 1/2 marathon in October.
