This is my first pedal kit from General Guitar Gadgets. I purchased it about a year ago. I painted it and applied a water slide decal and then let it sit on a shelf. Assembly took about 6 hours with the majority of the time spent connecting the jacks and pots to the pcb. Sound clip to follow in another post.

Snowday Stomp Box II – Protoboard!
I’ve been looking at several schematics for stomp boxes and I like the idea of a prototype platform geared towards guitar effects. Inspired by ZZZZZZZ I wanted to build a self contained breadboard with easy access to 1/4″ IO and an assortment of switches and potentiometers.
Here’s the results:
Roadmap
Gut Shot
The potentieometers will feed the headers on this protoboard along with the 4 dip switches shown
Here is the completed 5 pot + 1 spdt switch box
I ebayed a couple new breadboards, I’ll post new pics when the project starts coming together.
Snowday Stomp Box
School was canceled due to a sheet of ice covering most of central Ohio leaving me with a little time to work in the lab.
I installed a LR Baggs piezo bridge in a strat a couple of months ago. It’s an amazing $150 upgrade, but it left me needing a TRS to 1/4″ adapter to separate the peizo output from the pickups. I also like the idea of being able to bypass big chunks of my pedal board and the associated tone sucking traits with an effects loop.
Here’s my solution. 2 loops for the guitar pickups and a separate output from the ring connector to run the peizo to the PA.
Even though it is a little fragile for a box designed for stomping I couldn’t resist using a fender jewel lamp housing. I’ve always thought they look awesome. There are two leds inside, one for each loop. To differentiate loops one is a blinkey led and the other is solid.
