Art Guitar Project

I found this 3/4 scale harmony at the guitar show with a broken neck for $5. A little wood glue and about 8 feet of surgical tubing to clamp it up and it’s playable again. I have a gfs humbucker that I’m going to mount in the sound hole, I’ll wire it with a coil tap, volume and tone. Top back and sides will receive some sharpie art.

A silver tone type case might be nice.

I spent a couple of hours working on the RV here are a couple of pics of the work in progress.

I started with a scrap canvas drop cloth dyed to match with tan and yellow rit fabric dye. I glued the replacement fabric in place with Bish’s original tear mender.

A Busy Sunday II

I found myself at the central ohio guitar show in the afternoon where I found a “great deal” a fender cyber deluxe for $75. The owner claimed ups damage, it still plays and the presets are accessible via included midi controller. I’m saving this project for the winter when I have more time.

A Busy Sunday

I started the day early (about 6:30) and worked on Rio for two hours. After that Mona and I went to to Antrum to run with fellow Jack Turtles Wendy, Conchetta, Jeff and Anna. 5.1 miles at a conversation pace felt good. Bill joined us for breakfast at Bob Evans where I indulged in a down home breakfast.
